John Balmat JR passed away on 11/22/15 in Bellingham WA after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers, Leuwy body dementia and Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife Kathy, son Kyle, and sisters Norah Link and Nancy Wallenborn. His sisters also graduated from Clover Park but in earlier classes. You may post condolences, photos, or memories of John on the website of Jerns Funeral *****.com in Bellingham WA. No services were held at his request. His ashes will be buried at a later date with those of his wife.

In June, 2013 I will complete 45 years of teaching in the greater Tacoma area. It all started at Laughbon High School in Dupont (1968-1973),continued at Clover Park High School (1973-1993, and I will be completing my teaching career at Charles Wright Academy(1993-2013). Although I am aware of the paths of some of the students I have taught, as my way of celebrating my retirement I would love to hear via e-mail or card from as many of my former students as possible. I'm sure I have forgotten some students that were very important to me at the time, so I would like them to re-introduce themselves and catch me up to their current lives
